Evaluation Context and Challenges (Cont.)

There is no further transition of legacy funds to be passed to the Glasgow Futures LEP (GFLEP) so the LEP’s overall funding position is in one sense clearer. However, while funding levels and duration of agreements remain uncertain and annual, Glasgow City Council has established a more aligned and streamlined monitoring and reporting framework, which is leading to a more settled position on delivery and development.

The GFLEP itself is well established, relationships are strong and a clear vision for the future of employability in Glasgow is in place. The “Shaping Employability Together” event in June 2024 reflected this and clearly articulated a collective way forward for all employability partners and participants.

The Glasgow Futures brand reinforces this vision and offers employability services a strong identity of positivity and person-centred support within which to operate.

Overall, the GFLEP has entered a more settled period, so it seems timely to evaluate delivery to date to inform the continued implementation of NOLB and to update the overall delivery plan for the city.
